Our Board

  • Headshot of Kathy Linehan

    Kathy Linehan l Board Chair

My son has been involved with CherishAbiiltiy for several years. I love watching him grow and connect with new friends through online and in-person events. There is a passion in this organization for seeing all God’s children in the light of perfection. The "loved ones" blossom in this environment. I am thrilled and honored to be a member of this team.

  • Headshot of Rich Clarke

Rich Clarke l Vice Chair & Treasurer

While it may seem we're "giving back" as CherishAbility volunteers, truth is we're receiving so much more from those we serve. We are bearing witness to their unblemished childlike thoughts untouched by the world. These experiences are inspiring examples for all to forget labels and see the real man.

  • Headshot of Barb Horton

I am so happy to be associated with this wonderful, all-inclusive organization. As an active, life-long Christian Scientist and a career-long Special Education teacher, it is thrilling to serve an organization that combines my two passions.

A few years ago I was introduced to CherishAbility through a visit with two of its Board members. As I listened to their stories, I felt their passion for the organization's unlimited possibilities serving individuals with special needs and their families, my own daughter included. This inspired me to become directly involved.

Julie Finnin Day l Executive Director

As the parent of a child with special needs, I understand the path our families walk—beholding the spiritual perfection of our family members while at the same time meeting their practical needs. It means so much to have this community of like-minded people and know we aren’t alone. The best part of all is getting to know our amazing families and their exceptional loved ones!

  • Headshot of Rebecca Creighton

    Rebecca Creighton l Program Director

When I learned about CherishAbility I thought, “These are my people.” CherishAbility sees every individual as a unique and whole expression of God. What a blessing it is to be part of this community and to expand on what I’ve learned from nearly two decades of special education classroom and administrative experience.

  • Headshot of Janee with blue jacket on

Janee Shaw l Director of Development

Although I am a life-long Christian Scientist and have spent most of my career serving Christian Science organizations, I knew very little about CherishAbility until a friend mentioned it. After exploring the website and watching the videos about CherishAbility, I knew I wanted to be part of its healing mission of cherishing those with special needs and their families. I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to help support the spiritual growth and progress of all who call upon its services.

  • Headshot of Sara Greene

Sara Greene l Assistant Program Director

The friendships that make up the CherishAbility community are unique beyond measure. For the past several years I have had the opportunity to support various programs online and in person with loved ones and their families. I feel so blessed to witness so much growth, joy, laughter, and inclusivity through each and every activity and event with this leadership team. I'm incredibly grateful to serve such an impactful organization!
