Parent Gatherings

You are not alone!

As parents know, it takes a team to support a loved one with developmental special needs—and the team is often the family members. At CherishAbility, where many of our board members are themselves the parents of children with special needs, we know the path can feel lonely. CherishAbility seeks to end the isolation by bringing parents and caregivers together to share inspiration and healing.

Monthly Zoom calls, and periodic face-to-face gatherings during programs, bring parents and live-in caregivers together in an uplifting and supportive community of fellow Christian Scientists who see the spiritual perfection of their children and celebrate their step-by-step progress.

  • First Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm Central

  • There is no cost to participate in the Parent Gatherings.

  • Parents or private in-home caregivers

  • The Zoom gatherings are minimally structured and facilitated in a way to allow for spontaneous, inclusive conversation.

  • Email us at programs@cherishability.org

with inquiries and to receive monthly gathering information.

“As you journey, and betimes sigh for rest ‘beside the still waters,’ ponder this lesson of love. Learn its purpose; and in hope and faith, where heart meets heart reciprocally blest, drink with me the living waters of the spirit of my life-purpose, — to impress humanity with the genuine recognition of practical, operative Christian Science.”
